Grand Marshal 2017
The Natick Friends of the 4th is proud to announce that Joe Landry from Natick
has been chosen as Grand Marshal for this year’s 4th of July Parade.
Joe truly epitomizes this year’s theme “Young at Heart” due to his many years of involvement
with the youth of Natick and Natick Little League and we are honored to have him as Grand Marshal.
⦁ Has lived in Natick for 45 years
JOE LANDRY BIOGRAPHY
⦁ Married to Gail for 48 years, two boys (Howie and Adam both Natick High Graduates)
and 9 Grandchildren (Evan, Kelly, Sara, Allyssa, Julia, Tom, Alex, Ava and Brady)
⦁ Worked for Wonder Bread/Hostess cake for 38 years:
10 years on a route sales truck
10 years as a route sales supervisor.
Spent the last 18 years were as General Manager Sales New England
⦁ Got involved in Little League in 1978 coaching his oldest son Howie
⦁ Joined the Little League Board of Directions in 1979, under the direction of Dave Brown,
Executive Director at the time.
⦁ States that Jim “CY” Belmore was probably the person who influenced him the most
during his time in the league.
⦁ Executive Director of the Natick Little League in 1981-1986
⦁ President of Natick Babe Ruth for several years 1987-1991
⦁ Executive Director of the Natick Little League once again in 1992,
and has held that position ever since.
⦁ Coached the Senior Babe Ruth team for 12 years.
⦁ President of Central Mass Senior Babe Ruth for 11 years,
currently still on the Executive Board of the program.
